With Lighting design it is important to take ergonomic ( visual fatigue , transparent ... ), psychological (colors, emotions), physical and sculptural aspects of light into account, in order to recognise the most appropriate solution for each particular environment.
The goal is firstly to design sustainable lighting in an urban context for a student project and then to realize it. This will affect the human behaviour within the site, and determine how the site is used.
Educational and scientific objectives
The workshop aims to provide students with knowledge of various aspects of light and its application in terms of space and architecture. The diverse cultural and historical perception of the phenomenon of light , from antiquity to quantum physics are taught as theoretical foundations. The technical aspects of lighting technology are taught in the practical implementation of the lighting project.
